Upgrade of a set of services dedicated to databases

What’s new ? 

We have made updates to the services Document Database Service (DDS), Relational Database Service (RDS) and Data Replication Service (DRS) to expand and cover more operations related to database management in the cloud. 

Document Database Service (DDS)  

New features 

  • Audit logs can be viewed on the DDS console 

Relational Database Service (RDS) 

New features 

  • Add information about interconnecting with ROS in the DDM installation document. 
  • Improve automatic matching of metadata. 
  • Display the client IP address in slow query log statistics. 

MySQL new features 

  • Support table-level point-in-time recovery (PITR) for RDS for MySQL 8.0. 
  • Support a unified time format for slow query logs of RDS for MySQL. 
  • Extend supported time zones  
  • Add Remarks for account and database management. 

PostgreSQL new feature 

  • Replace the EIPs page with the Connectivity & Security page on the console for RDS for PostgreSQL. 

Microsoft SQL Server new features 

  • Support SSL connection to RDS for SQL Server instances through a client. 
  • Retain only encrypted login for logging in to RDS for SQL Server instances. 
  • Support database names containing periods (.) for RDS for SQL Server DB instances. 
  • Support extended event tracing and monitoring to handle slow SQL statements for RDS for SQL Server.

Data Replication Service (DRS) 

New features 

  • Add information about interconnecting with ROS in the DDM installation document. 
  • Improve automatic matching of metadata. 
  • Display the client IP address in slow query log statistics.
