IMS Update

Image Management Service provides flexible, self-service and comprehensive image management capabilities.

Image Management Service (IMS) has recieved the following updates:

New Features

  • Snapshot based image creation

The new version of IMS now provide the capability for the users to create an OS image from a snapshot using APIs. This feature might be useful for some third party tool as Hashicop Packer. Packer is an open source tool to automates the creation of any type of machine image. It embraces modern configuration management by encouraging you to use automated scripts to install and configure the software within your Packer-made images. To support this feature we have updated our Openstack Cinder to version 3.

Console

IMS is available through the Flexible Engine management console. Sign in to the Flexible Engine Management Console, select your region and open IMS.
